No one can talk about the year 2020 without mentioning Covid 19. The social distancing, the crazy amount of intersecting social issues that are erupting from our inability to hear what the reality is. Suddenly my preferred method of creation was no longer acceptable by infection standards. I am not fighting a human force, I am fighting a viral force. The time in isolation and the pausing of our "in person" learning meant that I had transpose theatre into...well...not theatre. Into film, into screen performance, into everything that theatre, to me, combats. Apart from my identity as an artist being in flux, this period of isolation brought many other themes to life. It gave me space to think about what is important to me, what are my instincts to urgency, what about emergency.What about calm calm loneliness.
